Until March 2006 I had been employed in the civil service for over 30 years.
The majority of this has been spent in the facilities management field and as a Regional Health and Safety Advisor covering
departmental offices throughout London and the home counties.
In this role I provided all types of health and safety advice, including preparing policy documents, risk assessments,
providing health and safety training for staff of all grades throughout the department.
I have experience of dealing with a wide range of building types including offices, computer centres, call centres, distribution
centres, national sorting centres, restaurants, warehouses, reprographic centres, repair workshops and even dog kennels.
I have also had involvement in major construction, cleaning and security projects
In 1999 I joined the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH)
Amongst my qualifications I hold a National Examination Board of Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) Diploma (part
1) in Occupational Health and Safety. This is an industry wide recognised qualification.
Having decided to leave the civil service on early retirement I am now looking to use the knowledge and skills I have to
provide a service for small businesses like yours who may find health and safety a daunting subject and lack the necessary
resources.
I can assist you in your health and safety needs
